Caprese

“Hello” in Hawaiian is “aloha”, pronounced “ah-low-ha”.

Today I am in a Hawaiian mood! Beach, beautiful flowers, tropical climate, surfers and happy people who greet me with “Aloha”. In addition to my exotic mood, today I also have this delicious Hawaiian black salt that was given to me by my sweet mom who always thinks about me. Inspired by a Franklin and Marshall outfit, I have created one of my best dishes, a recipe that you can be sure will always be a certainty in your life. In order to prepare it, you just need simple ingredients of good quality, which, together with the perfect company, create a fabulous mix. With red tomatoes, white mozzarella (and I am not talking about the model, although…) and a pinch of black salt, you cannot go wrong! Do you know why I would leave immediately for Hawaii? I would love to see what that crazy wizard Merlin is doing there!

Recipe. FOR 4 PEOPLE

4 large fleshy tomatoes + 2 buffalo mozzarella + 2 cloves garlic + 10 basil leaves + salted capers (amount to taste) + 1 dried chili pepper + extra virgin olive oil + Hawaiian black salt + pepper.

Wash the tomatoes, cut into cubes and place in a tartare-style glass bowl. Mince the garlic, basil, chili pepper and capers and add to tomatoes. Sprinkle with a little oil, season with salt and pepper and mix well. Cover with plastic wrap and place into the refrigerator for 2 hours, then remove and, with the help of a kitchen mold, start forming a tower with the tomatoes. Cut the buffalo mozzarella into cubes and place on top of the tomatoes very carefully. Remove the mold, being careful not to ruin your creation, and serve with a sprinkling of Hawaiian black salt. Yummy!
