Inspired by an outfit of the new Rodarte collection, today I have prepared a delicate banana smoothie. Smoothies are creamy drinks based on fruits or vegetables. The origin of the word “smooth” highlights all the benefits that come with them. Unlike milkshakes, which have usually a milk base, smoothies are prepared with low-fat plain yogurt. Times have really changed for me… My mid-morning snack used to be a wonderful warm baloney sandwich accompanied by an ice-cold coke, now it’s fruits and vegetables. I can feel my 32 years, and mostly I can see them. After working out at the gym it’s what I need to regain my energies. Remember to always add dried fruit to taste, it’s healthy and anti-aging.

Recipe. FOR 1 GLASS

125 g (4.5 oz) low-fat plain yogurt + 1 banana + 1 tablespoon almonds + 1 tablespoon dried cranberries + 2 ice cubes.

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until mixture is smooth. Pour into a glass and drink immediately.
