Soft as clouds, delicate like the breeze and tremendously beautiful. Could you ever imagine experiencing all these feelings by eating a slice of toasted bread? If the answer is no, I suggest you follow this recipe: it will make even the most insensitive person in the world become romantic. Pessimists around the globe, this post is meant for you, to convince you that life is not so bad and that if you put aside the thorns, you will discover the roses around you!


It’s been 100 years since the founding of one of the most famous fashion houses in the world. It was in 1913 when Mario and Martino Prada opened a leather goods shop in the heart of Milan, and then we all know how it ended. There came his granddaughter, Miuccia Prada, who changed the fate of the name, transforming it into a point of reference for its style and avant-garde design. To celebrate its 100th anniversary, Prada has chosen an advertising campaign shot by Steven Meisel (this should not be news) starring 11 models wearing the outfits of the spring/summer collection. To celebrate this outfit that only a few of you would wear (could be because of its “20s swimsuit” style, or because of its shape, that does not allow you to weight a few grams more), I’ve decided to cook a recipe that everyone will eat. In this dish, chili pepper is the main protagonist but its spicy flavor is muffled by the sweet taste of steamed codfish steamed seasoned with lemon juice. It’s a bad luck-proof recipe!

Seitan Bolognese sauce is proof against aunt Assunta. Aunt Assunta is an attitude, a way of life, a way to spice things up. If you eat lunch at the various aunts Assunta of the world, you cannot expect to have a citrus-marinated salmon carpaccio or a Waldorf salad. Aunts Assunta (or Concetta, it depends), will always find you worn out, pale in the face and drastically slimmed down, even if you have been the last star of “Super Size Me”. At aunt Assunta’s you know that you won’t leave the table before 5 pm, and it is recommended to take a Gravol every 6 hours starting from 12 am, which is exactly the time when you absolutely have to start eating. Woe is she who leaves one last macaroni in his plate (the twin brother of the other 150g/ 5oz) swimming in the oily sauce, and woe is she who doesn’t leak his plate at the end. According to an aunt Assunta this could mean that “the girl is not well”. Luckily aunt Assunta and I are separated by many kilometers. In Taste of Runway’s kitchen, the Bolognese sauce is so light that you are really willing to leak your plate and then you can even avoid the casting for “Super Size Me”. Meat belongs to the past, have you ever tried seitan? There’s a difference but you can’t tell it, you can only feel it on your body, which will thank you for eating a healthier meal!
